On the physical plane, we tend to think in terms of cause and effect (or action and reaction).
Something happens and then a while later, something happens because (BE-cause) of that.
In actuality, this appears to be the case, but in REALITY, there is no time - time is simply a construct of our brains that separates memories and sense input into stuff that has either:
Been remembered (the past)
Is currently being sensed (the present)
Is imagined (the future)
In reality, cause and effect are simultaneous. (Past, present and future breathe as One)
To illustrate, take a sheet of rubber and stretch it into a flat plane. Now push your finger down into it and make a depression. From your view, you have created a depression in the sheet. But on the other side of the sheet appears a peak, or little hill...
The creation of the DEpression AND the IMpression are simultaneous - one cannot say which one came first, as they are both happening in the NOW. BOTH are created together.
So too, do our actions in the NOW of the present moment instantly cause a reaction in the NOW of a future moment and, hard as it may be to imagine, also, the NOW of a past moment. Thus our REALITY is completely dependent on our actions in this moment.
That is why the NOW is SO incredibly important, because it is only in the NOW that you can exert control over what happens in the future and how the past is viewed, remembered or interpreted. Neither future nor past can be controlled DIRECTLY.
This fractal nature of reality is a very interesting subject - and it can be said that "everything depends on everything else" - that is, there is nothing in the universe that is not connected to everything else SOMEHOW.
Consider your thoughts NOW and examine them - are they born of FEAR or are they born of Love and Joy ?
And look at your actions - which form of thought gave rise to them ?
Strive to create thoughts of LOVE, for in the face of LOVE, fear vanishes - and your life will begin to change before your very eyes!
