Shattering The Matrix

We Sleep No More!

Last night, my yoga instructor randomly mentioned going to a session of Shamanic Journeys next Suturday and I wanted to know more about it and got interested, so I am going to go as well.

This is an article I've found about Shamanic Journeys.

What is a Shamanic Journey
By Viola Woolcott

The Shaman is said to be walking with one foot in the every day world and with the other in the spirit world. Different cultures may express their views on the two realities in differently, but the basic idea is the same.

Shamans are explorers of doorways from ordinary reality into non-ordinary (NOR) reality through portals leading him from the physical to the spirit world. They are moving between those two worlds. In order to bring about a balance between the physical and spiritual worlds the shaman uses mystical powers to journey to other worlds or realities and communicates with spirits.

The Shamanic Journey is a way of finding answers, information, healing, wisdom and knowledge as well as guidance or help with one’s personal life. During the Journey he meets with spirits who may be regarded as ancestors, elders, gods, goddesses, deceased shamans, spirit guides, power animals and angels. These beings are seen as beings with great wisdom, power and the ones who are willing to help with guiding the living.

A shamanic world is made up of three parts, the lower world, the upper world and the middle world. The shamans see these three worlds as a climbing tree to the next world. The tree represents power and courage and is used in the initiation ceremony. None of these worlds are above the other. They are equally important.

Each shaman begins there journey with a theme, if they are looking for guidance on a specific issue, their theme would be whatever the issue is. They form a phrase or a sentence they repeat it over and over again. This phrase or sentence helps to transcend them into the spirit world. Shamans also finds a place of tranquillity in his mind, there can be no other noise around them, and they must achieve a totally calm state of mind with no outside distractions.

Shamans do rely on their instincts as well as their powers. They have no limitations, they ascend into each world and they stop in each world and get the wisdom and the power they need from each world before going to the next. Once they have achieved the last world, they are ready to descend back into the present, into reality. From each world they have received word from the spirits and the knowledge to help who have come to them in their hour of need.

Now, I wanted to ask you if any of you has experienced this or knows about it. I'd like to hear some experiences.

The journey is extremely freeing! It's your own personal experience.  No one can take your experience away from you.  Your imagination is key.  Imagination is spiritual. So if you think it may be your imagination, how did you get your imagination.  Everything comes from Spirit first.  I've journeyed to know about certain things in my future 3D life and Spirit gave me experiences on my journey and sure enough my future was exactly like they showed me. Journey helps to keep in me in the reality that only love is real and we are multidemensional spirits living in a human form. Blessings for your next journey, it's awesome.  Make sure you honor your journey by cleansing your body inside and outside several days before your first voyage, that way you know it's for real, and it's always good to write it first before you speak it.  LOVE YOU ALL HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!!!

Hi Mark, thanks for your comment. I will learn more shamanism as soon as I am able. It comes easy to me, and I really thing it's what I should be doing. I have never felt this way about anything before no matter how interested I was.

I'm quite good with telepathy and clairaudience, though I have to practice that more.

I think many people may have the same kind of issues you do, Luna. One always doubts oneself, tending to believe maybe you hear what you want to hear or see what you want to see.

Maybe you can ask your power animal for a "sign" of sorts. I have heard of people whose attention has been drawn to things related to their power animal. Maybe you can ask for that. That's just an idea.

And maybe a reason why sometimes you think you're communicating with yourself is because many times you just talk to your inner self. You can talk to other spirits as well, but as you said, unless you've got confidence in yourself, it may be difficult to believe it's not you producing that.

Also, I don't think a shamanic journey always needs to involve an OBE. Sometimes you just enter deep states or meditation and relaxation in which you go to inner places which are also very real and not only product of your imagination.

Journeying has been one of the best experiences of my life. It's opened me up to many new ideas, brings me closer to spiritual enlightenment (I believe), and opened me up to more love.

When I found my spirit animal I don't believe it would have been considered as 'journeying' but more meditation to my inner temple. I'd be interested in knowing the difference if there is one in your experience. I haven't really ever journeyed with any other intent other than to experience my other spiritual bodies on the astral planes. But I know there is so much more to be found, I'll get there some day :}

One of the reasons I stopped is because I don't have anyone to do it with anymore to help me realize that what I see is Really there. If anyone knows how to help ones confidence with this that'd be really helpful. Oh, and conversing with other spirits is kind of hard for me as well since I can't really tell if I'm talking to myself or not :/

Thanks for your comment, Vimala Emanuel. I really loved the experience, it was wonderful and I will have more of it. Meeting my power animal was very touching. Even though the shaman started doing the journey for me, my power animal showed me things and left a message for me: to work with it and to start my own journeys. The shaman then told me it's clear I'm being invited to do this myself. After trying different spiritual paths, I'm finally feeling I've found mine.

Namaste! and thanks for asking.  Yes I have been on 100s of journeys on others behalf and my own.  As a shamanic midwife for homebirthers and waterbirthers I have helped many through the portals of time and space.  I have travelled to many worlds and found many helpers in the these worlds of great wisdom. Animal allies, plant allies, The Masters, the Ascended, The Angels.  The Wise Women, the Saints and the Saviors.  I have thankfully communed with many.

As I have a very blessed drum that I beat, I have helped many journey as well. It is a wonderful experience for a person to make the journey, meet the power animal, meet the spirit guide and then divine answers for their life's path.    I am so glad someone finally asked.  Love, Light and Peace be yours.
